OVERVIEW


INCYT’s weather station is designed to meet the guidelines of the World Meteorological Organisation and is an excellent choice for farmers, researchers and agronomists. It provides you with multiple points of measurement for accurate weather reporting to make key cropping decisions, including ambient temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and direction including wind gusts.

 


HOW IT WORKS


INCYT’s weather station utilises INCYT’s XR network, so you’re not restricted to only using this in areas where you’ve got a cellphone signal - as long as your weather station is within reach of a INCYT base station, you’re able to use the weather station! The weather station gets paired up with an INCYT blue node, giving you up to 8 (!) years of battery life!

 

The basic weather station kit includes a Davis weather station and blue node. The standard kit includes everything in the basic kit as well as a a UV sensor and solar radiation add-on.

 

The weather data is available to you through the INCYT cockpit, which allows you to share this data with other users on your INCYT account. You are able to see ambient temperature, humidity, rainfall, dew point, Delta T and wind speed, direction including wind gusts. You also have access to the hourly and long term forecast, based on VisualCrossing weather data to yourself or anyone else you choose to send this alarm to.

 

Alarms can be set for measurements such as rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, wind and delta T - with both high and low configurations for a 24 hour, 7 day, 30 day or 365 day period. Alarms can be sent via email, text or in-app notifications.

 

A variety of plans is available - the ‘Pro’ plan for example offers you sensor sampling every 5 minutes with data transmission every 15 minutes; higher or lower frequency data transmission plans can be selected at any time.

 

 

SPECIFICATIONS


The basic installation kit includes a Davis weather station and blue node. The standard kit includes everything in the basic kit as well as a a UV sensor and solar radiation add-on, with:

  • Subscription: $15 per month (lower or higher cost plans available)
  • High-quality accurate weather monitoring
  • Custom low / high alarms can be configured in the INCYT cockpit for a variety of parameters
  • Data can be shared with other INCYT users as required

 


MAVERICK SPRAY ADVISORY


INCYT’s Maverick spray advisory utilises 3rd party weather data, data from your INCYT weather station and data from your INCYT 10 meter inversion tower. However if you don’t have an INCYT weather station or inversion tower, you can still use Maverick for it’s 7-day local spray risk forecast and other features - the data will just be based on the nearest publicly available weather station data instead of your own on-farm weather station. If you only have an INCYT weather station (no inversion tower), you can still use Maverick and access all local weather data, but you just won’t have the inversion component displayed to you. Maverick Spray You can activate Maverick Spray Advisory for only $2 per month! In the INCYT Dashboard simply go to ‘Applications’, select ‘add new application', find ‘Maverick Spray Advisory’ in the list, and you’ll be setup in no-time!
