Rain Gauge

OVERVIEW

INCYT’s rain gauge is designed to meet the guidelines of the World Meteorological Organisation and is an excellent choice for farmers, researchers and agronomists. This rain gauge has a self-emptying, tipping-bucket with 0.2mm accuracy, helping you to automate your rainfall recording process.

HOW IT WORKS

INCYT’s rain gauge utilises INCYT’s XR network, so you’re not restricted to only using this in areas where you’ve got a cellphone signal - as long as your rain gauge is within reach of a INCYT base station, you’re able to use the rain gauge! The rain gauge gets paired up with an INCYT blue node, giving you up to 8 (!) years of battery life!

The rainfall data is available to you through the INCYT cockpit, which allows you to share this data with other users on your INCYT account as well. You are able to see rainfall totals for 24 hour, 7 day, 30 day or 365 day periods. Alarms can be set for these same periods as well with both high and low configurations available. Alarms can be sent via email, text or in-app notifications to yourself or anyone else you choose to send this alarm to.

A variety of plans is available - the ‘Pro’ plan for example offers you continuous sampling with data transmission every 15 minutes; higher or lower frequency data transmission plans can be selected at any time.

• The kit includes a Davis rain gauge and blue node.
• The rain gauge requires maintenance from time to time: make sure to keep the bucket clean and free from dust build-up so that it doesn’t clog up.
• Subscription: $15 per month (lower or higher cost plans available)
